dweomeroflightI finally watched it :)
1) Erin has an interesting outfit in the opening scenes. I like it ;)
2) "Some of you have experienced death, others have not." OH LOL HARRY. How inane do you want to get script writers?
3) Dimitri is a honeytrap= my wishes for MOAR DIMITRI are heard.
4) Bits that I laugh at that no one else does: point score= plus one to spooks at Ruth giving the terrorist his nickname of "Johnny" (which actually is pretty lolarious all by its self). I have been listening to BTAS all weekend due to a 6 hour trip to my uncle's in Jindabyne on the long weekend so therefore I cannot be blamed for thinking "JOHNNY, JOHNNY, JOHNNY, oh boy, is it good to see you."
Mum: "I don't give a fuck about seven series of Spooks. Lorelai is clearly the best role Nicola has ever had."
Oh Mum. Bless you. I think I agree... sometimes.
5) I like Alice Krige as Elena and I'm not getting the duplicitous, out to get people vibe that some have been getting at all. I'm with Vicky Frost. She is fragile and ethereal and world weary and yet very strong all at once. I like her alot. Sad face at her parents being killed by KGB.
6) The 'I need Ruth to go tell my ex info because of danger' scene made me make a face at my computer and yell "fuck you" rather more loudly than I intended. Seriously though Harry. What the fuck?
7) Calum is less annoying this episode.
8) HAHAHAHAHA LOL LOL TROLL LOL AT THE HOME SEC PHONE CALL TO RUTH. OMG SHOW. THIS IS MOST EXCELLENT.
9) Eeeee National Gallery. I was there. Alot when I was in London. It was one of the places I liked to haunt. I probably even sat where Ruth and Elena sat. I like their meeting spot though. What a place to talk state treason. How um... not really very safe at all.
10) RUTH YOU ARE CLEARLY IN A STATE OF EXTREME NON AWARENES OF 90S POP CULTURE AND SPY TACTICS IN THIS SCENE. THE FIRST RULE ABOUT FIGHT CLUB IS, WE DON'T TALK ABOUT FIGHT CLUB. THE SECOND RULE OF FIGHT CLUB IS, WE DON'T TALK ABOUT FIGHT CLUB. Fail Ruth.
11) On the plus side, I shall now send Brad Pitt over to take you over the rules. And Ed Norton. And then you dump Harry for one of them. Or both of them. I'm not fussed.
12) The Home Sec dinner scene is the best part of the whole episode. Except that it sees the return to form of "oh no Nicola, you're breaking my heart again damn you." Which reminds me of 9.8 where the writers knocked Ruth out in 9.8 which was kind of like, the worst choice ever, seeings as Nicola carries this show damnit. So like writers, what the hell has Nicola been doing while you've been filming? You aren't paying her enough XD MORE SCENES I SAY. ACTUALLY JUST KILL EVERYONE EXCEPT HER AND THE HOME SEC AND THEY CAN RULE THE WORLD OR BECOME JOINT PM'S OR SOMETHING.
13) I love Simon Russell Beale as flirty Home Sec and Ruth can't help but be kind of intrigued/touched. I approve of this plot developement immensely.
14) The bit about once having that life is so bull Ruth. You can have that life again. Heck. You could quit MI5 this second and go live in Greece with Nico so he has, you know, a parent of some description. Then you can get a hot Greek guy. Or you could ask Dimitri to go off with you. And then marry him.

16) I don't get this terrorist. He's a bit crap at being one. If he is already dying why doesn't he just break the stuff on the corporate guy anyway. Who cares if Dimitri shoots? He's a dead man walking. Also Dimitri would be dumb to shoot the guy anyway. He could break the glass with the shot or the terrorist could drop it as he drops dead himself. *Shakes head at Dimitri and terrorist*
17) Erin writes 'I'm dumping you' letters. She secretly has her own company dedicated to it on the side. Harry would kill her if he found out. Tessa 2.0
18) The 'Harry Pearce "fuck you" moments' goes up to 2. FUCK YOU HARRY. TELLING RUTH TO EXPLAIN EVERYTHING BECAUSE YOU CAN'T DO IT. YOU COWARD.
19) DUMP HIM RUTH. SERIOUSLY. THE HOME SEC CALLS. OR BRAD PITT. OR ANYONE. OR WHY DON'T I JUST TWEET STEVEN MOFFAT (WITH MY NON EXISTENT TWITTER) TO CAST NICOLA ALONGSIDE ELEVEN AND THEN ALL OF OUR WHO/SPOOKS CROSSOVER FICS CAN COME TRUE. YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO YOU TIMEY WIMEY BASTARD.
Some more important points:
- I now want to write another Ruth dumps Harry fic. I've only written one and it was carthatic. I probably will tomorrow. Along with my eleventy billion assignments.
- OMG I SAWmadama_airlock in the background when Sasha and Harry talk. Must. Screencap. For. Posterity. I am close to fame you guyz ;)
In other news, I have a billion assignments in the next five weeks and I am going to go down to university today to play quidditch with the Harry Potter society.
Also, Closing Time was like WOAH. Review to come after a rewatch.

I want to love Harry, not hate him! Give me series 7 Harry back! No, seriously, thank God for PF, with another actor I'd hate the character already.
Nicola Walker in now most definitely in top 5 actresses!

RUTH. I'm loving the developing plot line with the H.S. ABOUT TIME SHE REALISED HARRY'S NOT WORTH IT. That dinner scene! The H.S' odd flirtations were hilarious.
THE NATIONAL GALLERY. I LOVED THAT SCENE. The "I have no idea how to answer that question." AHHH RUTH. AND HARRY'S SUCH A SHIT FOR MAKING HER GO. But it did allow for the brilliance of Nicola Walker and Alice Krige in a room together, so.
I really like Elena. AND SASHA. LOTS. The scene where she tells him about her parents was heartbreaking. AND SASHA WITH HARRY ON THE EMBANKMENT. HE TOTALLY KNOWS WHAT'S UP. Then Harry put his unsubtle face on. ~obvious pout is obvious~
But I like that Elena and Sasha have so much dimension - Elena is all those things you said, and Sasha is conflicted and sensitive and suspicious, and LOVELY.

I hope she's not bad! I don't think she is. I really don't want her to be. I'm kind of liking Elena and Sasha more than anyone else this series. LOL.
I've been hating Harry for a while now (or just laughing at how ridiculous he is), but this year it seems worse, maybe because all this focus on him is showing up his faults in a major way. IDK. *headdesk*.

I kind of agree with you. I like Elena, Sasha and Ruth best. Everyone else I get interested in for a bit and then get bored again.
I didn't hate Harry till last series but seriously this year he is worse. I just hope the ending isn't Ruth accepts his douchiness coz it's twu love and then is all "I'm sorry- it was all me." Because that would be bull.
