Was like eating the chocolate cake from Matilda, drowning in a calorific sea of cream and with a figurative cherry on top... later there will be stomach pains but right now... I REGRET NOTHING.

Series Ten confuzzles me. Either I am exceedingly amused (probably not Kudos intention) by the week's serious buizness or I am bored and grumpy. This week falls into the amusing and good in a 'Ruth/Harry fan ficcer' kind of way (so zulu_ottawa did you hate this?)



- Calum is less annoying this episode. Interesting. BAHAHAHA RUTH BOWLING. And why couldn't we see her goodbye party I ask you? I would have found it ridiculously entertaining.
- Oh Erin with your perfect hair and impossibly high heels; you make me lol. They dropped the daughter storyline pretty quick.
- I felt like I was watching one of my own fan fic's put to screen this episode. Dimitri's looks re whenever Ruth was mentioned harks back to the early series nine days when we were all ZOMG DIMITRI HAS A CRUSH ON HER... he totally does. I do not care how much Nicola denies this.
- Oh God. Ruth. The part when she gives the Home Sec. his medicine with this look of faint annoyance killed me. Ruth is so much more than government beaurocracy... so much more than a glorified secretary. Are there any Ruth/Towers fics? I'd read them. I bet Towers tried to get his leg over. Bastard. Except it kind of faintly amuses, repels and intrigues me in equal measure.
- Did I mention that Ruth broke me in this scene?
- I spent most of this episode telling everyone "come now children- that's a bad choice." Like kidnapping a senior CIA member and diplomat? Wow Harry.
- Phew Jim is innocent. I like him... but these guys are so signposted as up to no good that I can't even...
- Which just goes to show yet again, that everything would be resolved so much faster if Ruth was Head as she is smart. Unlike the rest of these people.
- LOL LOL LOL LOL TIMES FOREVER. Erin shooting out of a moving car at another car. In London. IN LONDON. And no one notices this. Not even when there's a dead man on the pavement and people waving guns around. James Bond couldn't have done it better. LOL SHOW.
- Hee at Harry's impressive speech. Sometimes he DOES impress me. Just not often. And I would have been more impressed if the CIA officer in charge wasn't like ten.
- And now they need a laptop. From the American Embassy. Who you gonna call? Ruth Evershed. Keep up. Though I shouted at her. Look what happened last time she went out on a limb for Harry? She ended up exiled and in Cyprus that's what. With a partner and a Greek kid. And then George got shot and you got kidnapped. So er... maybe reconsider... OH RUTH NO WHY COME ON???
- Er so it takes that long to get panadol in an embassy. Wow.
- Ruth is a spying God.
- Conversation with Harry kills me and makes me want to kill him. WHADDYA MEAN YOU'RE NOT TAKING THE LAPTOP. I SUPPOSE YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT RUTH'S SAFETY WTF? WHEN SHE GETS KILLED BY ANON TERRORISTS DON'T COME CRYING TO ME HARRY PEARCE.
- OH FFS. SACSHA. OH FFS RUTH. WHY YOU NO LOOK???
- BOOM. "It's a bomb." LOL SHOW. My Mum and I were both all "no shit writers?"
- NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NOT THE HOME SEC. HE AMUSES WITH HIS SNARK. AND HIS SEEDY.
- "fuck you show" I said. Not my Home Sec straight after Jim Coaver. I liked them.
- Which led to WTF? How is Home Sec alive? Followed by oh well, I don't care coz I like him. And then LOL SHOW- YOUR SENSE OF REALITY IS SO SKEWED. EVERYONE ON THE ENTIRE SHOW IS EITHER SUPERMAN OR LEMMINGS.
- Harry is in trouble. He burns some floppy discs (does anyone still have those?) and pours out some milk. Meaningfully. At some point there is a gret Ilya/Harry conversation about tortoises. Yes. Tortoises in the garden. Is it bad that my favourite characters this series are Ilya, Elena, Sacsha, Jim Coaver, Towers and Ruth?
- Harry gets handed over to the CIA. On British soil. EVEN FOR YOU SHOW GO DO SOME RESEARCH. FFS. Politics major is screaming in agony right now. SOVEREIGNTY WRITERS. BRITISH SOVEREIGNTY. HAVE YOU NOT HEARD OF IT? ps: if government's give over their heads of counter terrorism that easily Britain is doomed.
- BEACH SCENE THAT NICOLA SAID WAS ONE OF HER FAVOURITE LOCATIONS (come to Australia and I'll show you a real beach Nicola!)
- Sad face Ruth. Sad face Harry. M is tuning out... OMFG KISS. WHAT? KISS? DID THAT JUST HAPPEN? KISS? OMFG SHOW?
- Ruth with a house in Suffolk? I swear to God somebody wrote the fan fic back in early s9.
- "Is this the ending" Get married hun and it really will be. I'm drowning in the soap and I like it (to quote Katy Perry)... also that made me think of The Howling by Within Temptation... particularly
The sun is rising
The screams have gone

It's a song that suits Spooks pot of angst quite well actually.

Besides I already know. Harry is revealed to be Lord Voldemort. Harry Potter and the aurors come after him with fighter planes and broomsticks. Epic duel ensues. Ruth looks worried and then goes on a holiday to Greece. Spin off show comes next in the same vein as SeaChange. Which had a rather epic theme song Seachange Theme

I was so glad they didn't kill Towers, his one liners are hilarious at times. Also I'm glad you noticed Erin's shoes, how the hell did she manage to walk in them?! Seriously, I'd call that unsuitable work wear, especially for someone who runs around with a gun.

Erm, can I say something? I liked it even though it was ridiculous.
Because it was ridiculous. The whole kidnapping Jim thing? (Also I'm sad he died). And Harry wearing his sad face all the time? And Elena gets on my nerves, and Erin is too glamorous to be a real spy (give me Ros back!), and many more ridiculous elements, I'm too lazy to make a list.

But I don't give a shit because Harry is a tortoise AND Home Sec didn't die, and Sasha is good-looking (and he's a good character) AND RUTH IS THE QUEEN OF THE WORLD!
