HBC movie pics for 2012

Pics under the cut for images of her as Miss Havisham in Great Expectations and Julia in Dark Shadows. Both come out in 2012. I. am. excited.
I am very nervous about Dark Shadows- mainly because I loathed Alice in Wonderland but MICHELLE EFFING PFEIFFER IN A MOVIE WITH TIM AGAIN. AND WITH HELENA. MAKE MY LIFE WHY DON'T YOU TIMMY BABY.
Also, it is entirely in 2D. Thank God for that.
Helena won the Harper Bazaar role model of the year award. She couldn't make the award ceremony but did send this open letter with Sally Hawkins (does she not know Nicola? Aren't they friends or something? Hmmm)

I will still be Miss Havishaming as you glug your drinks and I'll have to be up at 5.00 again to get the bridal gear on in order that they can set fire to me (do you know the story?). So Tuesday's a big day and every bride must get her beauty sleep.
Anyway, please know that under any other circumstances I would have been there and thank you for this compliment. "Role Model of The Year" sounds fantastically heroic. I have no idea what I have done to fulfill this description. It reminds me of a letter I got from a young female fan in which she enumerates "25 things Helena Bonham Carter has taught her". It starts with things like "dreaming big", “believing in yourself”, “creating your own style not other peoples”, and that “it’s socially acceptable to wear several hats all at once.” But the one I loved best was No. 25 which was “it’s ok to have short thick legs".
Now, I think if I’ve helped make someone love their short thick legs then - yes – I DO feel I've been heroic. So thank you so much. I do deserve this.

I first read this on tumblr wondering where the heck I'd read the part about short legs before. Then I realised it was on a thread on the HBC forum. And it was in the book we sent her two years ago as a Christmas gift. And I'm friends with the fan Helena is talking about.
Fandom. I love it.
Also Helena. You are my role model. You deserve to be. I love you.
Who likes Helena on my flist? Excited for any of her up and coming films? Tell me about them!
