Date: 2010-01-05 03:02 am (UTC)LJ user brendanpodger has given me many reading suggestions and he has yet to steer me wrong. My favourite suggestion he has given me is Susan Cooper's The Dark is Rising series. He had me actually start off with the second book in the series which hooked me like you wouldn't believe. Utterly, utterly fantastic! This series is considered a child's fantasy series, but you know, after reading it myself (and I'm 35) I can honestly say that truly it is written for all ages to enjoy.
